Jim Thomas: Sims-Walker & Leber Inactive, DX & Chamberlain to start

Some Twitter notes from Jim Thomas about today's game...

-Lineup changes for Rams: Mike Sims-Walker inactive. Brandon Gibson and Danario Alexander scheduled to start at WR against Green Bay.

-A chance at LB as well for Rams. Ben Leber is inactive. Chris Chamberlain scheduled to start at weakside linebacker vs. Packers.

-Veteran CB Rod Hood won't dress for Rams, meaning newcomer Brian Jackson joins Justin King, Al Harris, and Josh Gordy among four active CBs.

-Rookie WRs Austin Pettis and Greg Salas both active for first time this season. Pettis and Salas could return punts.

-With Norwood down again, RB Quinn Porter and WR Austin Pettis are top candidates to return kickoffs.

Rams Inactives : WR Mike Sims-Walker,TE Stephen Spach, LB Ben Leber, WR Nick Miller, CB Rod Hood, RB Jerious Norwood, and DE C.J Ah You.

Austin Pettis and Greg Salas will hold slot duties. Pettis, Salas and Porter will return kicks.

DX and Gibby to start outwide.

Jabara Williams makes his NFL Debut. Very excited to see him out there. Chamberlain starting at WLB in place of Leber.

At CB Brian Jackson is active and Josh Gordy will play in sub packages with King going in slot.

G Jacob Bell will start and TE Hoomanawanui is active.

Rams will wear white jerseys and blue pants.

MSW inactive is a "coaches decision"...no injury reported. Money well spent!

Leber and MSW both "deserve" to be healthy inactives as poorly as they have played and at least Spags is showing that he's open to trying something besides the same 'ol, same 'ol.

Both of these guys have been poor acquisitions(MSW doesn't seemingly know how to line up even yet) and Poppinga is another who'd likely be out of the line up also if the Rams had someone to fill a LB spot with Leber also benched.

Well that's why he only got a one year contract. If he didn't work out he could be replaced. Guess this is a strong sign he won't be re-signed.

You cannot argue with the decisions, two players I had high hopes for getting demoted. PLEASE,PLEASE someone take these jobs over with aplomb. Looking forward to seeing Jabara Williams play today.
It'll be good to see how DX deals with more reps, could be a good move this.?
