Hey folks, I believe I want to become a premium member as well, but I just have a few questions:
1. Is the $10 paid via paypal just like used on eBay's (instant)? If so, then I'm fine.
2. Is it automatically renewed every year, or would I just need to re-do the process whenever it runs out.

Yes, you can pay through PayPal to Dez.
No, the renewal isn't an automated process. You have to do the paypal thing each year.
