Thumbs up Josh McDaniels reportedly leaning towards Rams

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on January 18, 2011, 8:51 AM EST
Josh McDaniels’ return to the NFL is expected to come within the next 24 hours, and it sounds like he’s headed to St. Louis.
NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi reports McDaniels is close to deciding between the Vikings and Rams, and that he’s “probably” going to pick the Rams. McDaniels would then be paired with Steve Spagnuolo, his adversary in Super Bowl 42.
It seems like an easy choice for McDaniels considering Sam Bradford’s presence in St. Louis.
We’re a little surprised the Rams would be so quick to go away from the scheme that worked for Bradford as a rookie. There also has to be some fear that McDaniels could wind up leaving town in a few years, robbing Bradford of the continuity so many top quarterbacks are afforded.

If it happens im excited. If it doesnt hopefully Childress will come in and continue with the WC system.

Its crazy to think we could have one of the best group of coaches in the league, offensive and defensive.

Spags and McDaniels, tough D, crazy fun O....let Bradford sling it

up until this off-season i would say the Turner/Rivera pair was the best. now tho i don`t know..whould be hard to find anyone..atleast on paper who look as good as Spags/McDaniels.

as much as i don`t like his personality..yeah i`d have to agree that it would atleast be crazy fun..

that report was posted yesterday on another thread..so maybe we`ll find out today.

    Win!

However, the article did point out the lone downside imo, he could bolt quickly.

I'd still feel safe we have Mcdaniels for 2 years minimum, after that disaster in Denver no one is tabbing him a head coach in the near future.
