Just back from Vegas

Surprisingly, Las Vegas currently has the Rams nudged ahead of Seattle.

To win the NFC Championship, the Mandalay Bay Sports Book has the Rams at 10/1 and the Seahawks at 12/1. For the Super Bowl, they had the Rams at 20/1 and the Seahawks at 22/1.

Put $20 down on both the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl.

Only $20? Oh ye of little faith. Seriously though, those are not bad odds, all things considered. Luck to all.

Dam TX, where's your faith in your team. I would have put down at least $100,000.

Wouldn't that be why they gave the Rams better odds, to get more people to bet on them?

I'm not much of a gambler, but wouldn't you say that the Seahawks have the better odds...at least from the perspective of more incentive to bet on them?

Re: Just back from Vegas

Did you leave town because you wiped out all the casinos on the strip from all their ready cash or because you cleaned out all of those great buffets?

Re: Just back from Vegas

I left LV up $100 from the blackjack tables but I KNOW they got their clock cleaned by free beer and my body blocking of the buffet lines....

I'm not much of a gambler either, but I'm just of the mindset that if Vegas is giving the Rams better odds, it's probably just to bring in some more action and doesn't mean much more than that. But at 22/1, it seems you'd get a bigger payoff on Seattle.

Yea, that's what I'm saying. I'm sure there are more gambling expertise out there, but if I were a neutral football fan, I'd be more inclined to put money on the Hawks than the Rams seeing the better payout.

Re: Just back from Vegas

Though the Hawks, according to those odds, aren't as likely to win.
