Just 'cuz I feel I have to write SOMETHING...

I'm glad I'm not a (St. Louis) journalist. What do you write?

Here's one for you. In their last game(s), the 7 teams that have 1 or 0 wins have been outscored 262 - 23. Average score: 37-3. Wow. Adios, parity. I'm definitely betting over the rest of the year. (Edit - Raiders have 2 wins - my bad)

Knowing what is going to, (what HAS to), happen, (total rebuild), sure isn't making this any easier.

Spags was disappointed in our 4th quarter? Really. One quarter out of 28, when you're down 35-6 against the (arguably) best team in football. I know he has to say that, and can even think it, but c'mon, get real.

I can't help thinking that our injuries may just stem from a high level of effort and not lack of conditioning. (Do y'all think Tatupu and Paloamu aren't in shape?)

How would you like to be Minnesota today? Merry Christmas, Pittsburgh.

Now the "team has given up" rumors start. Maybe some of the players have, but I can't name any. And for those that do - see 'ya - which is the ONLY silver lining in this debacle. There ARE plenty of players who won't pack it in, and that's what Spags is looking for.

I wish I was knowledgeable enough to bash Shurmer, but I just can't put it all on him. The Rams are not so much untalented as just plain young and inexperienced. It's just kind of a "perfect storm" scenario.

Having said that, I'm definitely becoming somewhat cooler on Bulger. Just sayin'. (That means I don't want a response to that!)And I wouldn't mind seeing Null for one whole (home) game. Why not?

You know you're snake bit when your long-snapper gets injured. Damn!

I don't know about the rest of you, (and I want to), but I don't really care if we beat Detroit. Big Whup.

And we suck right now, so who really cares if we do or do not break TB's and Detroit's records. 1-15 or 0-16. What's the difference, really?

And last but not least, this is not a negative post. Sometimes it just is what it is. (God, I hate that expression). I still love watching the Rams every week, and will continue to.

They're doing the right thing - even though results are still going to be an (excruciatingly) long time coming.

Cheers y'all - keep the faith.

every game matters at the best of times but it means a great deal more when youve lost 17 on the spin under the St louis Rams name (but 7 under this current team).
if we only beat the Lions this year rather than not beating them it may end up meaning we not any better as a team but it will give our players confidence to perhaps win more games before the year is out.

snapping a losing streak a.s.a.p is always something to care about...maybe the players we might currently not think are good enough for keeping next year might show themselves to be better players once theyve got the burden of the evil monkey off their shoulders that only a long losing streak can bring.
