If Linehan decides his D can't get the ball back, does he still punt it away with 3 minutes and change left?

The D doesn't hold and they lose. If he goes for it on 4th down at least he gives his O the vote of confidence. As it was the D got the vote.

Does he do the same thing next time? I guess that is why coaches have Tums.

I think you just answered your own question honey.

I think he'd go for it next time. It gives the whole team a boost of confidence when they make it.
