Re: Kacyvenski signed
Smart, and a pretty inexpensive way to help special teams and provide depth at LB. This guy can help, for sure. Kudos to Linehan and crew. I don't think I can second guess any of his moves so far this year. I'm impressed with coach Linehan, he seems to see a need and address it immediately. Unlike, well, I won't go there...

Re: Kacyvenski signed
Found this in USA Today, today's edition, regarding Kacyvenski:
Oct. 3, 2006 - 6:24 p.m. ET
Rams signed LB Isaiah Kacyvenski.
Seattle was looking to bring the special teams specialists back to the Seahawks, but he choose St. Louis instead.

Re: Kacyvenski signed
Kaz, as you will soon come to call him, was a special teams stud. I loved the guy for his motor. He never stopped. He brought attitude to Seattle's admittedly poor special teams. He absolutely rocked. He wasn't the best LB, I think he was around 6th or 7th on our depth chart, but he was the special teams captain. Good pick up for you guys. I would have loved to have him back on our team.

To be fair, not all evil robots are killers.

Re: Kacyvenski signed
Thanks for the insight, Rawkhrdr. From what I've been reading, including your post and online articles, Kaz seems to be a player that performs with a big heart and a strong attitude.
I don't expect for our ST to all of a sudden improve drastically but ... yes, IK will surely help with our coverages! And after a few weeks he will probably become our ST Captain as well.

Re: Kacyvenski signed
this was a very smart move on the The Rams part.
With ST stud Paul Smith out and still in hospital, then moved fast and made a great ST pickup.
Way to go Rams

Re: Kacyvenski signed
This is the kind of boost our Kick off coverage team needs.

Re: Kacyvenski signed
Very good move. I am too surprised the Seahawks cut him. Now the question is who do we cut to make room, Carpenter was mentioned, I wouldn't protest that, never seen him do much.

Re: Kacyvenski signed
Problem was we are banged up almost everywhere but LB, and we have/had exceptional depth there.
If babs hadn't been hurt it likely would have been a backup safety Celestin, but he ended up playing in Chicago after boulware got hurt.
We really don't have any placeholders on the team.
Anyway, about Kaz, you guys got a real quality player. There isn't a lockeroom in the league that isn't better off with him in it. I'm not sure where he'll fit on D (he was 7th on our depth chart), but he's a helluva ST player and he's got the kind of work ethic that rubs off on everyone around him.
