YES. The FO's decisions on Draft and Witherspoon are real puzzlers. JL is having a fine rookie season, but whose idea was it to have a rookie and two scrubs as your starting LB corps? It's not like there was a real savings gained by these moves.

Re: Keenan Burton will like be cut next season

The ignorance concerning Burton in this thread is amazing to me. Most are basing comments off of what? One and a half years of play? The guy is practically still a rookie, considering the change in schemes this past offseason ...

I watched Burton play for several years in the SEC. He's NOT a burner, and he's definitely NOT a possession receiver. Burton is a very fluid route runner, and it will translate to the NFL level once he becomes comfortable with the system. Once he catches up to the speed of the NFL, he could be a very poor man's Isaac Bruce ...

The concept of cutting Burton is insane. Jibber, jibber, jibber, jibberish. It amazes me when people claim players are "poor route runners" yet you cannot even see 90% of the route being run on TV, and I doubt you are focusing on Burton the whole time if watching in person ...

Gah, the last three weeks have been very refreshing for me, that's all I am going to say ...

RT, all I can say is that Burton and your boy Kenny Britt have damn near identical stats on the year...

I like Donnie Avery, but I'm amazed anyone would take him over Burton at this point. Burton is consistent; Avery is not.

I don't know if Burton is that consistent. We know he doesn't have the drops that Avery does this season, but there has also been reason to question his route-running. In particular, I am thinking of some recent picks.

Instead of arguing that he's a burner with no speed, I'd argue that he's a possession receiver who isn't very clutch.

Burton has tons of potential I don't want to see him go. I am still so pissed over the witherspoon trade.
