    keith null

i dont understand why people thought null was ready to start. He's a rookie and not even from the D1 level. He was/is NO WHERE close to being ready to be a starter

He may not have been, but with Boller and Bulger both hurt who do you suggest we start? Let's see, Brown has a td pass this year maybe he should be under center next week.

    Re: keith null

Null was fine. I was one that wanted to see if he was the answer to this teams needs. Null will never be any more than a backup. Under circumstances he did what he needed to do.

I say don't draft another QB at this point, too expensive. Bulger is still the man and will be at least for now. Lets draft Suh and focus on making some key trades to improve secondary and offensive line. A shrink for cogs, dude is crazy.

Null was far more ready to start than you apparently are to analyze his performance. Sorry, but you don't have a clue on this one, the numbers don't tell the whole story ...

    Re: keith null

Boller's last start for the Rams...

113 yards passing, 53.1 Comp, 0 tds and 1 int.

Null's 1st start for the Rams...

157 yards passing, 62 Comp, 1 td and 5 int.

Yes the 5 Ints are huge and can't continue but... considering this was his first and only game and Boiler has had 5 starts this year and years of experience...

I don't see Boiler has a clear cut, slam dunk over Null.

Again I'm not saying he is the answer for next year but he did enough today to make me want to see him next week.

Null has a good arm and he threw a couple of good accurate passes, the physical skills are there, what I saw today was a QB with promise. If you could teach Null to not lock in on one receiver he could be the QB of our future.

So? We would've still lost. I don't care if we lost by 70, a loss hurts us regardless. You can take an emotional loss by today, but either way it goes down as a big freaking L in that column, regardless of score.

Just goes to show, it doesn't matter who is behind center... They will suck.. This is a team effort not a one man team.

No, we may have lost by 37, or 60 ...

    Or maybe not ...

How many rookies have you seen get thrown into the fire and get forced to sling it 43 times against a defense that absolutely has your number from the start?

Boller is nut job. He may not have thrown 5 picks, but I bet that Titans D would have gotten 3 on him. At least Null tried to throw it downfield before the coaches got in his ear ...

Playing Boller yesterday would have accomplished absolutely nothing, and if doing so would have appeased you, simply because we may not have gotten blown out as bad, you might want to reevaluate if you have the team's best interest in mind ...

The coaches can say what they want about Null, but you know they were salivating over the opportunity to throw him out there, and with a reason to do so ...
