For the "kickers don't fear Hall" crowd....
.....what makes you think kickers and punters view Hall any differently now than they have at any other point in his career?
Kicks/Punts per game
2000 - 5.6
2001 - 6.2
2002 - 6.1
2003 - 6.3
2004 - 6.8
2005 - 7.1
2006 - 5.7
So after steadily kicking to him a little more every year since 2002, kickers/punters suddenly "fear" him again in 2006???
And over his entire career, the spectrum of his touches per game is only a 1.5 touch spread........and this means he is not "feared", ie. not respected by specialists?
Someone from the "Hall is washed up" camp will have to explain this one to me.

Damieon "DANTE" Hall
From 2001-2006 has missed only 4 games. Played in a total of 84 out of a possible 88 games. Durable?
2006- 3 kickoff returns of 40+ yards, 4 punt returns of 20+ yards. Washed up?
That's 7 field changing, possibly game changing returns. Especially with the offense our RAMS will be putting on the field. With all the close games that are played in the NFL. Dante is going to be an asset " NO DOUBT".

Re: For the "kickers don't fear Hall" crowd....
The Rams "teams" have stunk BOTH ways (returning and defending returns) for several years now. Just as no ONE MAN has been the problem in recent years...no ONE (29 yr old return) MAN will be THE SOLUTION.

Re: For the "kickers don't fear Hall" crowd....
How about Dante Hall, Todd Johnson, Brian Leonard, Jonathan Wade, Donnie Jones and Jon Alston (all of whom figure to play on special teams) - is that enough to make a significant change?

I've got to think there will be improvement. If anything, you certainly can't fault Linehan and company for not making a major effort at addressing the problem.
As far as Dante Hall, he'll solidify both return positions and give some much needed continuity and cohesiveness to the return units. No matter how anyone wants to spin it, he'll be an upgrade and yes, give the opposition something to think about.

I think the SP will be much improved as far as coverage and the return game are concerned. Hopefully Jones can provide some good consistency punting.

Whats the deal with Kacyvenski? He seemed to be great on coverage. Why have we not resigned him?
