TX, not only a 'successful approach' but ... EXEMPLARY!

Thanks to all of you Moderators for your patience and personal control. It is what makes the difference here for the Clan web site.

:clanram: Keep up the good work!

Re: The Kids Are Alright... for now.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and NO ONE is objecting to that. I think what some of us are asking is for a few basic guidelines that are really what this board is all about anyway, and it has nothing to do with age.

Attack or challenge the post, not the poster.
READ FIRST. Try to respond to the post and before you challenge what someone is saying, try to at least understand what they are saying. I think it is a fair point that there are a number of people on this board and i have no intention of singling anyone out, who are responding to arguments that just arent being made by the prior poster because they are not taking the time to read carefully. IN english, think before you speak.
Experience does matter. There are people throwing around definitive and inflammatory statements about events in rams history that happened before some of them were 10 years old. It is really hard from a credibility standpoint to take someone seriously when they express absolute and definitive knowledge about things that occurred at a point when no matter how smart they are now, they couldnt have possibly had the experience or the maturity to understand what was going on at the time.

There is nothing wrong with being a student of history and expressing opinions about things that happened when you are very young or about games that you havent seen. HOwever, it might make sense to at least listen to people with a little more experience and not go on the out and out attack as often.

The board is intended to be fun for everyone, but it is not intended to be a free for all where anyone can say anything they want whenever they want. It is a MODERATED board and there are many many times where certain people are losing sight of that.
