That's the ticket: Rams have plenty remaining for this season

Only two of the Ramsí nine remaining home games (eight regular season and one preseason) are guaranteed of being televised locally at this time.
The Rams have sold out their games against Green Bay on Dec. 16 and Pittsburgh on Dec. 20.
There are 1,800 tickets remaining for the teamís season opener against the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 9 and there are more than 4,000 tickets remaining for their NFC West matchups against San Francisco on Sept. 16 and Arizona on Oct. 7.
There are 3,000 tickets remaining for the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 28, 2,400 tickets remaining for the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 25 and 4,300 tickets remaing for the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 2.
There are about 1,000 tickets remaining for the Ramsí preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs next Thursday.
The Rams released those ticket numbers in the hope that could spur sales and avoid having anymore home games being blacked out on local television.
The Rams had their streak of 95 consecutive sellouts broken last Christmas Eve when they failed to sell out a game against the Washington Redskins.
Under NFL rules, games must be sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff to be televised in the local market.
The Rams thought that there were doing fans a favor when they held back more than 5,000 seats during their initial PSL sales in 1995. They were giving fans who didnít own PSLs a chance to attend games.
However, those seats, many of them located in the upper reaches of the Edward Jones Dome, have become increasingly difficult to sell in recent years.
    Single-game tickets cost from $35 to $44.
To purchase single-game tickets, fans can visit www/stlouisrams.com or any Ticketmaster outlet.
Tickets can also be ordered by calling Ticketmaster at (618) 222-2900 in Illinois or 314-241-1888 or 314-421-4400 in Missouri.

-- The Rams will play their offensive and defensive starters the entire first half and maybe even a series in the second half against the Oakland Raiders on Friday night.
-- Steven Jackson could see less playing time than the other starters. Coach Scott Linehan has been cautious about exposing his Pro Bowl running back to potential injury in the presason.
-- Any player who is healthy and doesnít see any action the Raiders has little chance of making the Ramsí 53-man roster. The Rams must trim their roster to 75 players by Tuesday and then to 53 players by Sept. 1.
-- With Richie Incognito sidelined with a sprained ankle, Millford Brown and Claude Terrell will alternate each series at right guard.
-- Rookie Brian Leonard will be lining up at fullback. The Ramsí coaching staff wants to see how he performs in the role of a lead blocker after getting a chance to show what he can do as the feature in the teamís first two preseason games.
