(Scroll down a bit to find the blurb on Lance)
RAMS — The Rams have added running back Lance Ball, an undrafted rookie from the University of Maryland, to their roster. Ball, 5 feet 9 and 223 pounds, was a third-year starter who rushed for 2,487 yards, No. 4 on the Terrapins' career list. He's a native of Teaneck, N.J.

Re: Lance Bell .. The Human Bowling Ball !!
The way he slammed into the defender was pretty sweet. 12 rushing TD's as a Senior. Is this guy for the practice squad or what?
A defeated look of consternation, dissappointment, or even pain. The name derives from the look one often gets when challenged by a large BM.

Re: Lance Bell .. The Human Bowling Ball !!
Another "Ironhead" Hayward? maybe/possibly..? An intereting acquistion, one with some potentual. If Bell can't make an affective changeup for S.jackson, I woulder if he can become a cannonball FB for Jackson

Re: Lance Bell .. The Human Bowling Ball !!
Welcome to the St Louis Rams practice squad...we really need to stop signing RB's. Not only this, we're also interested in a RB from Tampa.

Re: Lance Bell .. The Human Bowling Ball !!
Sorry, the title for human bowling ball is reserved for Maurice Jones Drew. 5-7 if you let him stand on his tip toes, and 208 lbs. Not to mention, this: YouTube - Maurice Jones-Drew OWNS Shawn Merriman

Re: Lance Bell .. The Human Bowling Ball !!
I would be more then happy to have him on our roster. He reminds me a lot of a younger Jerome Bettis. Between him and Jackson, and the youthon the offensive line, we could have a potent running game.

First its Bernard, and now Ball, both these guys are small for backs, yet were productive during the college career's. Are we looking for the next M-J-D?

Re: Lance Bell .. The Human Bowling Ball !!
223 lbs. is not small for a running back. At 5'9" (which could be a generous listing) he certainly isn't tall, but he'll be harder to see when running behind our O-linemen. From what I've seen on video, he doesn't appear to be easy to tackle. He isn't afraid of contact, and runs through traffic agressively. However he was caught from behind alot, and does not appear to have "homerun" speed. How he'll do against NFL caliber competition won't be known till training camp and pre-season. Even if he's physically good enough to play at the NFL level, he'll have to learn Saunder's playbook wihch will require that he have some smarts as well. If he excels as a special teams kamikaze, he might have a shot at making the squad. He'll really have to tear it up in camp and pre-season though ...
