Unfortunately in Phoenix, I didn't get to catch the game, even though I called out of work. However, I saw this play about 15 times on sportscenter and all the other highlight shows. I loved it more every time I watched it. And the best part....it was THE RAIDERS!!

It was great to see that fader defender get "posterized" even if it was in pre-season.

Lol, I love it. It was funny when the defender was looking back mid-tackle, he must of been like "where the heck did he go?"

And they said he wouldn't be able to do that in the NFL...

Seriously, I'd hate to be that guy.
This play was the highlight of the season for me so far...I can't wait to see more of Leonard.

Were those Raider sportscasters commenting on the play? If so, excellent, because after repeating the play a couple of times in slow mo and all, at the very end one of them says, "Hey listen, that is impressive!"

Nice. I hope Leonard gains more and more confidence in this special athletic feature of his and in every other way with which he may help the Rams running game.

    Simply outstanding. Thanks RFTID!

It exposes his body for hits, but he must know this and he has been successful at it in college. It is fun to watch and it can get him extra yardage. I just hope he uses it at the right times and does not take any major hits during one of his leaps.

I wonder what the coaches think about leaping?

Just an uneducated guess, but I have to think they don't like the idea of him getting his feet clipped, but I have a feeling they love the extra yardage.

I can just imagine him not fooling a defender and they hit being on ESPN instead of the jump...sure was fun watching that guy look stupid though

it's fun to watch but he needs to be careful because once you leave your feet he opens himself up to some bigtime hits and he took a good one the other night after the leap, you can get away with that stuff in college, but this is the big time now.

I watched the game on the Raider station here in So Cal, and yes, both Plunkett and Atkinson said the move was extremely athletic. They still didn't say anything too negative about the whiff by the Faider defender, they dare not, or big Al would have them canned. But they both enjoyed the move by Leonard.

Actually, Plunkett said a lot of complementary things about the Rams, which surprised me. Of course, there is always the faider brainwashing about how great Al Davis is, ad naseum... It's sickening, they talk about him with such praise and admiration like he's a God or something. But Plunkett did recognize and comment that the Rams were without two of their best players and viewers shouldn't judge their performance on offense based on that night's performance.
    Faithful Rams fan since 1968
