That was the first Rams game I ever attended. 0-0 at halftime, and I was thinking we were a half away from the Super Bowl. Then all hell broke loose, ending with a 28-0 defeat. That was painful, especially the 3 hour ride home on a bus full of drunk Marines, who were Cowboys fans. The horror......

Haden started that game, with Ferragamo taking over in the second half.

Joe Pendleton was not bad either first time I had ever seen the Rams with a SB.

    Re: Lets play a game.

It would have been Haden or Ferragamo, cuz my dad was watching the games and taking us to the games... but I was too young to remember any names.

First qb's name I remember specifically was Everett. But seeing as I remember watching Dickerson, Wendell Tyler and the like before that..... my first game would have been with Haden or Ferragamo (or Kemp?) under center

Pendleton was ok, but he was no Leo Farnsworth.
Also the first owner/player of the modern era, if I'm not mistaken.

For me, Norm Van Brocklin, ca. 1957 (HOF caliber, Rams '49-57).

But truth be known, my first favorite Rams QB was Roman Gabriel, ca. 1962-64 (above, a young Gabriel during his early NFL years). He was a fine quarterback with the Rams from '62 to '72, especially during the 2nd half of his 11 year tenure with us (NFL MVP 1969).

Above, RG surpasses Norm Van Brocklin's mark of completed passes. Photo caption reads verbatim:

10/19/69 (Rams/Packers) Los Angeles. Rams quarterback Roman Gabriel passes his 1012 completed pass to break the old record set by Norm Van Brocklin (1011). During the game against the Packers, Gabriel completed 17 in 28 attempts for 197 yards. Gabriel receives good defensive blocking from #34 Les Josephson and #50 Ken Iman.

Rams defeated the GB Packers 34-21. It was week 5 of 1969 and they were on their way to win their first 11 games, first and only time in Rams history.

Above left: The Roman General ca. 1970, and, right, ca. 1963. Below left, 1969; and on the right, one of his stints as an actor in 'The Undefeated', also in '69 in the company of Merlin Olsen and John Wayne.

Umm... Green. Trent Green. I think Dilfer won the SB in 2000 with the Ravens.

    As for me, Pat Haden...

Technically, Vince Ferragamo. But as a fan, Chris Miller.

    Re: Lets play a game.

Technically Tony Banks LOL.. Barely started watching the NFL/Rams in 98 (just moved to America to Arkansas in 98). Then I moved to Missouri and by this time I understood football and loved it. The Rams were doing well! So I took them up as my team. Then of course because I became a fan, they win the superbowl . So technically Tony Banks, but I wasn't a Rams fan then. Kurt Warner was the first Rams QB I watched as a Rams fan.
