Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
There are a few players on the Rams roster who, at this point, would seem to be on the roster bubble, but maybe... just maybe... have some untapped potential.
So... which of the following players do you think is UNTAPPED, and which do you think is TAPPED OUT?
Brandon Gibson
Danario Alexander
Michael Hoomanwanui
Darrell Scott
Eugene Sims
Justin King
Jerome Murphy
Josh Gordy
Craig Dahl
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Untapped:
DX, Hoo-hoo, Murphy, Gordy
Tapped Out (which is to say, they're playing as good as they're ever gonna):
Gibson, Scott, Sims, King, Dahl"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

UNTAPPED
Michael HoomanwanuiJerome Murphy
TAPPED
Justin King
Josh Gordy
Craig Dahl
Brandon Gibson
Danario Alexander
Darrell Scott
Eugene Sims
Gordy was on the bubble for me, but if he has anything more to give he won't get much chance to show it, with five players ahead of him talent wise.

Re: Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
Uh-oh injuries: High ankle sprain, calf sprain, concussion and ACL over 2 seasons.
That's 4 completely separate injuries and have no relation to each other. He hurt his ACL when he banged it against a player, it wasn't a non-contact injury that would imply a physical problem that can't be fixed. I'm putting him strongly in the untapped side.
DX - tapped out. His knee will never hold up.
Murphy - UNTAPPED.
Josh Gordy - unknown. He played well last year but he's not a premier talent. As an end of the roster CB, he may be perfectly fine. He'll never start with the talent ahead of him.
Brandon Gibson - tapped with the Rams.
Darrell Scott - depth so I'd say untapped.
Eugene Sims - depth but in this case I'm saying tapped
Justin King - beyond tapped
Craig Dahl - tapped. He and Stewart shouldn't be on NFL squads.

Re: Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
Untapped: Hoomanawanui, Gordy.
Hooman has fantastic hands, if anyone watched the pre-season or the early part of last year's season, he displayed some great catching abilities, but unfortunately he is very injury prone.
If he can overcome that, he will be a great weapon at the TE spot. I think he's more talented than Kendricks."The potential in our lives far exceeds what we ordinarily imagine."

Re: Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
Barring some coach's late night inspiration with one of these projects, I think they all should be tapped out. Let's move on and give the the incoming bus load of free agents a good look.
Patient, not saintly.

Re: Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
Brandon Gibson - Tapped
Danario Alexander - Untapped potential, Tapped body
Michael Hoomanwanui - Untapped potential
Darrell Scott - Tapped, but solid enough for depth purposes
Eugene Sims - Tapped
Justin King - No longer under contract with us as his contract expired (thank god) but from an NFL future standpoint he is totally tapped
Jerome Murphy - Untapped. I really like Jerome Murphy. I think next year Bradley Fletcher walks in Free Agency and Murphy takes his place on the depth chart
Josh Gordy - Tapped, but very solid depth. His talent is where it should be for a player of his position on the depth chart
Craig Dahl - Tapped, and not even good depth. Have disliked Dahl for a while.

Re: Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
Brandon Gibson - Tapped. He has made good use of the tools he has, but I feel like he's hit his ceiling.
Danario Alexander - Untapped. Potential for a lot more but only if he can finally get over the knee issues.
Michael Hoomanwanui - Untapped. He has shown flashes. I'm hopeful that we haven't seen the last of him.
Darrell Scott - Tapped. Hey, you never know, but I don't feel like if you plotted his progress so far, it'd be a real promising angle.
Eugene Sims Untapped. But there are limits to how far I see him going.
Justin King Tapped.
Jerome Murphy Untapped. He'll just have a hard time earning playing time to prove it.
Josh Gordy - Who?
Craig Dahl - Tapped. Again, I'm concerned that his physical limitations are going to keep him from being much better than he already is.

Re: Let's play: UNTAPPED or TAPPED OUT!
Brandon Gibson = UN
Danario Alexander = UN
Michael Hoomanawanui = UN
Darrell Scott = TAPD
Eugene Sims = TAPD
Justin King = TAPD
Jerome Murphy = TAPD
Josh Gordy = TAPD
Craig Dahl = TAPD
I'm very excited about our 'UN' players here but then, being 'tapped out' is not derogatory.
