Dear Season Ticket Holder,
After a tough start to the season that has left us disappointed but not discouraged, we look forward to returning to the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday to take on the Washington Redskins. We know that our goals are still in front of us with plenty of football left to play in the 2011 season.
This Sunday, we will kick off our Breast Cancer Awareness efforts that will continue throughout the month of October. In addition to select players and coaches wearing pink game apparel, you will notice on-field pink ribbon stencils, special game balls with pink ribbon decals, and pink goal posts. At halftime, the Rams Cheerleaders will join with Junior Cheerleaders and Alumni Cheerleaders for a special “Cheer for a Cure” performance to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research through our team partner, the Siteman Cancer Center.
The Rams and the NFL are proud to support the fight against breast cancer ─ an issue that has touched the lives of so many of our fans. As part of Sunday’s awareness efforts, we would like to recognize some of our season ticket holders who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer. If you are one of them, we would love to hear from you via email by tomorrow afternoon.
For those of you who want to purchase game-worn pink apparel and footballs, items will be autographed post-game and auctioned off at NFL Auction with all proceeds during the month of October benefitting breast cancer efforts.
In addition to Sunday’s breast cancer awareness initiatives, we will also introduce 2011 NFL Hall of Fame inductee, the late Les Richter, into the Rams’ Ring of Honor. Please plan to arrive early to help us recognize Les and congratulate his family, who will be on the field for the pregame ceremony.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Sincerely, Kevin
