Calling plays is not his strength. He obviously does not believe in balanced play calling.
Talking to the press does not seem to be his strength either. Throwing players under the bus in front of the press will never win you points with the team. Didn't he say that Smith should have taken a time out on the TD play in the Seattle game? Please, FBs should never be calling timeouts.
What are the things the Linehan does well?

I don't know exactly what he is doing behind the scenes, but after every game key players (Little, Jackson, Bulger, etc) are going to bat for him in the press saying he's doing well. So either he's got them all fooled or he is doing enough things right to inspire confidence in his abilities from the team.
They could just be saying this to try to keep a mutiny from happening on the team against Linehan, or to stay in his good graces while he's here, but it seems to me that they mean in. Then again, like usual, we'll probably never really know what's going on.
Makes me wonder what T.O. would say if he were here...he tends dish the dirt regardless of the consequences.
