Linehan's Job Is Safe for 2008!
Get used to it Sloppers!!!!
With a 3-1 record since the bye and the team firing on nearly all cylanders even with all the injuries, Scott Linehan will be back next year. He'll probably finish with a winning record for the second half of the season, and that will vault him into his Coach of the Year campaign for 2008!
I don't know of another coach who could do such a great job with a bunch of offensive line players who might not even start for a scab team during a strike. He's a freakin' magician!
March on, Scott! You're the man!

Re: Linehan's Job Is Safe for 2008!
If the Rams go 2-2 the rest of the way and finish the second half with a 5-3 record, I'd agree that the likelihood that Linehan will be fired is remote.
Unfortunately, if you look at the remaining schedule, 2-2 is going to be quite the chore.

I'd say that Linehan is up against it. The teams second-half struggles preclude him being a safe bet to return.
And I have more time for him than a lot on these boards.

.
He still hasn't beat a winning team.
28 games and counting.
If he has that record after 32 games, they're aren't going to keep him.
We need to beat more than the Falcons and Whiners.

I agree somehow he did not put himself in a better spot to return after just hanging on too almost lose. On the other hand Haslett stock is on the rise, not to be our head coach but he seems to be getting it done.I'd say that Linehan is up against it. The teams second-half struggles preclude him being a safe bet to return.
And I have more time for him than a lot on these boards.

Really? You think this guy is just goofing us?
Funny, to me he seems just a bit more extreme than you and Nick, Mike. I mean, I don't hear either of you calling Linehan the next Coach of the Year, but otherwise, there's not that big of a difference between your posts.

Not at all, a complement for you both
.
Must say though that the thought that this might be yet another satirical attempt by those who aren't so keen on Linehan did cross my mind. It is very similar to other equally outstanding efforts in that line.
If the fellow is in earnest however, I think him mistaken. His previous extremism actually makes him much closer to some members of SLOP

It would not surprise me if this is an insider posting as Linefan.
