A little help with uniform history please...

Hi guys, i need some help. Can anyone tell me the first year that the rams wore blue stripes on the sleeves of the uniform? If you look at the uniform history on the rams official website, it appears as if the answer is 1951, but i cant be sure since they dont list every year.

This is important to me since someone on ebay (b-e collectibles, a reliable seller in fact) is now offering a game worn cleveland rams jersey that i am very interested in buying. The problem is, i dont see how it can be cleveland rams if it has the blue stripe on the sleeves and they didnt start using that stripe until 1951. Its #49, which was worn by carl mayes, Rb in 1952 and ed hughes, db 1954-55. The only two cleveland rams to wear 49 were the great jim benton in 44-45 and qb george morris in 1942.

The jersey is cool either way, but there is a pretty significant difference in price value if it is cleveland vs. early LA.

Any help would be appreciated.

G.C. you need to ask the seller that question,because it does appear that cleavland didnt have the stripes

Psycho, i can ask the seller (and already have), but the seller is an interested party trying to make money and furthermore, i guarantee you he does not know as much about old rams stuff as you guys do (and can find with your research skills). He has a certificate of authenticity from a uniform guru but again, i am a noted skeptic and it is not adding up.
