A little love for Pisa T.

One of the most maligned Rams to date is Pisa Tinoisamoa. The guy has done nothing but play his tail off since he got here, but he is the Rodney Dangerfield of this roster. So I have to give some props for his performance this year.

He leads the team in tackles. He's 9th among OLBs in the NFL. And, maybe most importantly, he is one of the few Rams to play every down with a will to win.

On this roster, that last attribute is at quite a premium.

Pisa has always had my Respect! Pisa Tinoisamoa is healthy once again and is only now returning to his true form. "5-0" was all over the field in Arizona against the Cardinals, one of the few bright spots on the Rams defense. I put a vote in for OJ, to go to the Probowl, I will now do the same for PISA!

I have always liked him. I think he brings more to the table than just his abilities. I think he has heart. And what this team needs now is heart! (tipping my hat to the Replacements of course!)

I have always been a fan on Tinoisamoa and have been very pleased with his performance this year.

He has certainly gotten better since he recovered from all injuries. Just as it was said to be! I'm glad we have him in the line up. Lets keep him and Witherspoon and add a true MLB in the middle. We could have quite a solid LB corps.

Pisa had a great game today. The best by a Rams LB all season, I think. More important that the numbers is the fact that most of his stops against the run were for 3yds or less. He is a fiery, emotional leader.

However, lets not get too carried away about his performance or the D's performance against the run yesterday. Arizona has the worst rushing offense in the league. We held them to less than their average, but then again they put up a big number against our D by doing what they are best at -- passing.

I honestly think the NFL is changing and I think Pisa's lack of size will continue to make him a liability against the run in the future.

Maybe I'm missing something here guys, with how the Rams D has played this season, I haven't seen Pisa do anything. OJ, yes, a probowl year, but Pisa, in my opinion has been just as horrible as anyone else, with the exception of OJ.

Pisa has 83 tackles, including one game against Seattle where he didn't have any, 9th in the league amongst OLB ...

He is in the top five in the league in tackles for loss with 7 ...

And he plays hard every play ....

Pisa did have a pretty good game this last weekend. But didn't he get a penalty for something? I dont remember.

Klop's false start is the only one that comes to mind.

Seems we've been down this road before......

The rams have not had good LBs in years.

    This year is no different.

The front seven needs an extreme makeover.

The entire seven? I think the front four will probably only require one new starter this offseason, perhaps in the form of Albert Haynesworth, and the linebacking corps should benefit from a true middle linebacker, allowing Witherspoon to move outside.

Say what you will about Pisa, but he's far from the largest of our problems.

Yea, I am wondering what you have been smoking, as we have some very servicable players in the front seven ...

Pisa is a workhorse, always has, always will be, when he is healthy. He is showing that ability this year ...

    Witherspoon is a pro-bowl caliber player ...

Chris Long has had a fine rookie campaign ...

Adeyanju and Hall are very servicable rotational players ...

Carriker and Ryan still have the potential to develop into DT's that can cause some chaos ...

We definitely need a MLB. Draft and Culberson provide nice depth ...

If our front four weren't a swinging door our linebackers would have a chance to make some plays maybe.

Your childish smack talk does not make this unit any better than it is.

Just what are these players serviceable for?

    29th in total ypg (379)

    29th in rushing ypg (154.2)

    25th in sacks (22)

    31st in scoring (30.3 ppg)

And how about rushing TDs? A good sign as to how stout or how soft the front seven really is.

22 total rushing TDs against this front seven. Only detroit has allowed more at 23.

    Cmon dude, serviceable?

Opposing offenses are eating this front seven up.

Oh, but they are just 1 -2 players away?

    And I'm smoking something?
