Little Signed
The St. Louis Rams re-signed free agent defensive end Leonard Little to a five-year deal worth a reported $17.5 million,
Little — the most attractive of the available free agent defensive ends — will also receive a $5 million signing bonus.
The Rams also grabbed free agent linebacker Jamie Duncan from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Free agent linebacker London Fletcher, however, will not be re-signed by the Rams.
In 2001, Little recorded 14.5 sacks — good for third-best in the NFL — for the NFC champions.

Phew...
:me wipes forehead
I'm glad Little and his agent finally agreed on a contract, as he was acting greedy before that. So much for him going to the Cardinals. I'm sure Mr. Blond will be happy.

Little, Wistrom, Pickett, Lewis.....Hmmmmm.
Very good depth at DE.

Hmmm...
Remember how we went into this past season concerned about our defensive line and how it was our supposed "weakness"?Originally posted by txramsfan:

Guess those questions are answered.

Good job by the front office. Glad Leonard is staying.
That's a pretty good contract and I think it definitely means that Az is going elsewhere. Whether Carter, Green or whoever, the third WR will be brought in for less than Hakim cost last year.
Bleeding LSU purple and gold, I'd love to see the Rams be able to draft Josh Reed but I'm sure he'll be off the board by the time we draft in the first round."If the fights were fake I'd have been in a helluva lot more of them." Wayne Gretzky

What I don't understand is that the terms of the contract he agreed upon looks exactly like the one he turned down Friday.
Oh well, glad your back LL.

Maybe they misread it at first, thought it said $7.5 million or something, then came to their senses.

From one end to another...
TX, aren't Pickett and Lewis DT's?
Oh, I see! You're being funny.
So far we have Wistrom, Little, and... Sean Moran. Who else? Ahanotu not coming back? *Gulp!*
Seriously, I've lost track of the happenings with our D-Ends. There's still plenty of time and it's great now that No. 91 has been secured for a while, but as you pointed, how is the Rams depth there?
Help. :shield:

man i was shocked when i just found out. I saw ESPNEWS this morning that said talks went sour, then 5 hours later he re-signed.
Surprised, but a pleasant one

That's about it as far as defensive ends go, unless they're still planning to move Damione Lewis. Our defensive tackle rotation is very solid with Lewis, Jeff Zgonina, Brian Young (a favorite of mine), Tyoka Jackson, and Ryan Pickett. Our defensive line has a lot of depth.Originally posted by Jorge Valdivia:

GLover
I heard somewhere that La'roi Glover wants to come here. Woulden't it be amazing if we could get him for less money. That would be a great DT. We would have an AMAZING pass rush. Make that unstoppable. Then Duncan can drop back in coverage. I am so excited words can't describe it. Look at our starting DT (if we get Glover)
DE-Wistrom
DT-Glover
DT-Lewis
DE-Little
OLB-Polley
MLB-Duncan
OLB-Davis
CB-Williams
CB-Bly
SS-Archuleta
FS-Herring
If we don't ger GLover just put Pickett in. Either way we will be number one Defense in the NFC again!!!!! GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!THE WORLDS GREATEST- ST. LOUIS RAMS
WELCOME BACK MY FRIENDS TO THE SHOW THAT NEVER ENDS...
