    LJ Shelton?

Rams | Shelton Could Visit Next Week - from www.KFFL.com
    Tue, 24 May 2005 20:35:36 -0700

Terry Bannon, of the Chicago Tribune, reports free agent OT L.J. Shelton (Cardinals) could visit with the St. Louis Rams next week, according to agent Vance Larimer.
That would be awesome depth and an emergency valve in case Barron doesn't progress as planned this offseason.

I agree. I didn't even think he was on our radar.

I don't know anything about this guy, but judging from your comments he must be good. Can anyone elaborate on just how good this guy is, or is he just average?

I'd say he's an upgrade over Grant Williams.

But then again, so are you!

I view Shelton like I do McQuarters. I'd make a modest offer, but with other teams having a greater need and willing to pay more, I wouldn't hold my breath.

He could be starting for over half of the teams in the league. If we could have him for depth, maybe even put him on the inside, I'm sure you'd be very happy when the season rolls around.
