London contract could mean ..
Could it mean that we will go to LA?! I Hope not... And when godell says he wants a franchise in the UK does that mean the NFL will add another to be 33 teams ? Or just a franchise to move there

One, there would be no way we move to London trust me. 2, You wouldn't move to LA and then say, oh yea one to two home games per year will be in london.
Trust me I think this actually shows that Rams will stay in St.Louis. I think since he has a lot of facilities and owns Arsenal, it is best for Kroenke to showcase the Rams there.

Re: London contract could mean ..
I can tell you EXACTLY what this "London Contract" means. It means the Rams will play one home game, in London, for the next three seasons. It means Stan found a way to squeeze a little more revenue out of the system for the Rams. It means that we will have at least one nationally televised game per year, for the next three seasons. It has zero bearing on whether or not the Rams move to LA, London, or Hoot Owl Oklahoma (Look it up).
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: London contract could mean ..
It simply means the organization is attempting to expand the brand.
If your a fan of the team this is only good, I rather be talked about and a topic, even when we are average...than disappear like the majority of teams because they aren't compelling.

London calling
London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared, and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
London calling, now don't look to us
Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing
The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river
London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go it alone
London calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out, and draw another breath
London calling, and I don't wanna shout
But while we were talking, I saw you nodding out
London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes
The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river
Now get this
London calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
After all this, won't you give me a smile?
London calling
I never felt so much alike alike alike alike.....

Re: London contract could mean ..
Looks to me that the RAMS are more likely to move to London than they are to LA.
How about the International RAMS? Or maybe THE Rams. One or two games in London and 3 each at LA and St. Louis.

Re: London contract could mean ..
I really doubt the Rams will move to London due to physical aspects that'll affect their gameplay (time zone differences and travel time). 3 years contract huh, I hope Dez will bring a home field advantage party there.

Re: London contract could mean ..
the rumblings in the greatest state in the US are all headed to the Rams coming home. The buzz is big here, LA may get 3 teams. two would share the Staples location (Giants-Jets) and in the city of Industry. So It's leading alot of people to believe the Rams are coming home. Stan's ties to Malibu and the rumor that Fisher negotiated a clause in his contract for a higher% in Pay if they move to the 2nd biggest market in the football world, Just a rumor but anything to feed the fire of a move. I would like any team here just so I could poossibly see the Rams play. But to be backwould be ........................priceless!
I stopped going to the dentist.......I got tired of the cavity searches!

Re: London contract could mean ..
This move understandably fuels the inevitable talk of the Rams' permanent relocation. Los Angeles Rams? London Rams? You knew it was coming.
By taking 3 home games (vs. the Pats, and I'm assuming two other marquis teams) away from St. Louis in consecutive years, he's saying his interests lie in expanding the brand and selling more tickets overseas rather than maximizing his profit and good standing with the fans in St. Louis. By preventing the fans from seeing Tom Brady stroll into town while asking fans to pony up for two meaningless home pre-season games is typical greed.
I am happy Stan seems to value winning and praise his efforts at landing Jeff Fisher as our coach, but make no mistake about it: Stan is a calculating businessman and no different than any other owner. He didn't become a billionaire by becoming passive. Bottom line: if the CVC doesn't give Stan a reasonable proposal for the refurbishment of the Dome sometime in the near future, the Rams are as good as gone.
