Interesting consensus here that Saffold -- potential and all -- might not be kept.

Which leads me to think that the Rams OL will only get better sans the silent S. Soon.

Let's keep those smart phones ringing...

Regardless, it's a bit of a bummer that an issue we thought we'd addressed with the signing of Long - the solidification of our bookends - is again an issue less than a week later.

What happen to the rumored trade to B-more?

Idle speculation; since we know Fisher prefers experienced OTs as opposed to drafting them, could there be a scenario where Rodger is traded for an experienced RT? Are there any teams out there with good depth on the right side but thin on the left that would consider such a thing?

    Welcome to the board!

If it comes down to a trade, I would think it would be for a draft pick but you never know we did that kind of trade with the Jets last year.

Saffolds played a whopping 19 out of 32 games in the last two years and has one year left on his contract. Not to mention, the new regime didn't draft him. The guy has no leverage.

What he needs to do is play a full season, no matter what position he plays, if he wants to get paid next year. He's already proven he can be a solid LT when healthy. Its not like teams in need of a LT next year will forget that. Where he plays in 2013 isn't going to decide his contract, its how much he plays that will.
