I see it as more of a benefit to him than a hinderance anyway, because everytime he takes the field, he'll have something to prove. And that's a good thing.

And I agree. But the original premise was that Long's athleticism had NOT been questioned.
However, like you said, whatever it takes to push the buttons of these guys, I'm all for. Whether it be Howie's shadow looming over CL, or Holt's shadow looming over Avery. Whatever it takes to push them.
