Re: Long's ascent no laughing matter

Legitimate question about watching the games dgr. Even when he isn't getting sacks he is terrorizing the qb and changing the game. Dlinemen are much more than stats. Long demands a lot of attention be paid to him, and when teams don't, he is right in the quarterbacks face pretty fast, or drawing a holding penalty. The guy is a monster out there, and having a pro bowl year IMO. He has been more than decent, much more, and I believe you are in the vast minority if you hold to that line.

Re: Long's ascent no laughing matter

If the last 4 games, where Long has been an absolute terror and game changer don't prove he's at or near elite DE stature, nothing will. Other than Clay Mathews, I haven't seen a more disruptive DE in the NFL the last month. It's a miracle Long still had a jersey after all the holds the whiners were forced to put on him. Chris Long has arrived and isn't leaving any time soon.

Just going to head this off at the pass:

One game where the opposing coaches are able to account for Long doesn't prove everyone who thinks he's a good/elite pass rusher wrong.

All i can say is our D was on that field for a long time today. Put any defense on the field that long and even the best ones will fall. My point is, Chris long is good and he does have that energy but at some point in a game fatigue will kick in. Especially if your offense isnt doing much to sustain drives.

Wow....I didn't think it was possible for me to have less respect for your opinion.

    I was wrong.

The ignore feature on your control panel works wonders. Some people just try to get everyone all worked up because that's how they get their joy in life.
