He definitely made himself some money.

Then again, we could have drafted him in the third and he'd be a one-year pro already!

I'm actually more interested in the later rounds at this point, but...how can you say that OTs are good longer? First of all, tackles aren't as much a "sure thing" as a linebacker for the most part, and can bust often. As for being the foundation, what is not a foundation about a middle linebacker, often the center of leadership on a good defense. We need a defensive leader, someone to stand up and get everyone going and motivated. On offense, that position is default to the QB, not the tackle. On defense, there is no automatic, and there needs to be a key player.

Either way, both are important, and equally needed on the Rams. Just pointing out, that you shouldn't say a linebacker isn't a foundation, and that they aren't good for 10 seasons...Who is Ray Lewis, or any of the other guys? They are the leaders, and the face of the team.

Who is the face of the Rams? (Do you really feel that way? Really? When he sits half the season with injuries? I know he might go uninjured and be great, but has he proven it yet?)

You make some valid points, although IMO LT is a more vital need to fill for the Rams than LB. I think a good LT will help the team more than a good LB.

As far as foundations, different teams have different philosophies. Spags has said it many times and made it clear that he believes a team is built on the strength of the lines. We'll see if or how that translates to the draft.
