Los Angeles Ram's ED Single Season Rushing Record
The NFL's single season rushing record represented in horns is in jeopardy. With only 294 yards to go Adrian Peterson could break it. The final two games against Texans and Packers will determine whether or not that record can remain in intact.
With these final two games I will be rooting for defense. Although I do respect AP's running style and ability the only player I can accept taking that record is one in gold horns. For me it's Rams or bust.
Questions, do you think it will be broken? Do you care? Thoughts?

I hope he does break it.
AND the reason is, I dont want to be like those bloody Dolphin fans that year after year hoped that THEIR record was not broken. Its kind of sad

Cant think of a more deserving guy to break it to be honest.
What he has done this year has been incredible, and if he breaks it it won't really be that big of a deal to me. It will be well earned less than a year after shredding his knee.

I'm not complaining, the guy deserved it and doing so after busting his knee is pretty damn impressive.

Re: Los Angeles Ram's ED Single Season Rushing Record
although i won't mind if he breaks it, i'd like dickerson to keep it cause he's a ram, but again, peterson would be a person that deserves to have it
although one thing that i dislike is that everyone treats peterson like he's doing things no other back does, however, i think it's good that he's not, he's just running the ball!
I mean that he just runs ball, just runs, nothing fancy, no ridiculous jukes, back flips, front flips, he just picks a direction and runs
so doing it as simply as peterson is, i think is awesome
one example is when all he had to do was just run right by dahl, not that that's saying much, but he didn't juke, just went left and took off

Nah. Peterson deserves it.

honestly I dont want to see anybody but a Ram break it but if someone else does AP is a good person to do it... he's a damn hard worker!

Re: Los Angeles Ram's ED Single Season Rushing Record
I don't agree, Dez. While some look upon the ex-Dolphins as guys unwilling to let go of the past, I see a bunch of guys who were consummate pros in their day and winners. They are prideful and fiercely protective of something they hold dear to their hearts and want to remain the gold standard of being the only undefeated team ever. I find no fault with it.
I don't want Peterson to break the record, but I think he will. Minnesota will give him 80 carries the next two games if necessary.

As they say, records are made to be broken..
Besides, I'm more peeved by the Patriots pretty much cleaning out the GSOT record breaking trophy cabinet.
Now that DOES suck donkey.

Re: Los Angeles Ram's ED Single Season Rushing Record
There's no way in hell or on earth do I wish he would break it. And in this instance, I couldn't care less how nice a guy he is.
Eric Dickerson is my favorite football player of all time and would have all the NFL rushing records had the Rams paid the man. But since they didn't and he doesn't, I'll be pulling for JJ Watt and company to bust Petersen up.

I don't care much one way or another. If he breaks the record, he'll have earned it. That said, I suspect he'll fall a little short of the record with two tough matchups coming up and needing almost 300 more yards. Minnesota is still in the playoff hunt, so I think they're going to be more worried about winning games than getting Peterson an individual record. Can Peterson put up two consecutive 150 yard games? Yes. But will he? My guess would be no.

I'll take that as a no.
I'd have to strongly agree about the record. For those of us that were Rams fans during that era, an era that was mostly dominated by the hated whiners, Eric Dickerson was our everything. I think of it as a Rams record as much as an ED record. Long live it!!
