Lots of Bernie on the current state of the Rams
Re: Look for Alan Faneca to be a Ram by Saturday
Couple a days late on that one, my friend.
Been saying since Tuesday that they'll be aggressive in pursuing him.

Gonna have to scoop up some CBs, can't help it, like it or not.
F. Brown going to have to go on vacation again.

Saunders -- Todd Collins.
That's the target.

Saunders wants to sign Todd Collins, and Devaney concurs.
I'm with that one.
They will look to add a QB in the draft, but not early.

Shaw is more of a consultant now.
Organization is transitioning.
Devaney on board...
Will identify a new team president in the coming year or so.
Sorry, but it's silly to believe that Rosenbloom would make sweeping changes now -- when he understandably wants to take time to study the organization he's inherited.
Even sillier to criticize Rosenbloom for viewing them as "family" considering he's known them since he was a teenager, and Shaw, in particular did everything for his mother.
But CR II already is asking a lot of questions about Zyggy's role.
If you don't want to believe me, that's fine. I only spent two days with the guy this week. Concoct your own theories if you so desire.
About Shaw....
I don't blame LA based fans for dislking Shaw.
I chuckle at the simps based in STL who diss Shaw.
YO!
No NFL team here without Shaw orchestrating the move. No Super Bowl. No Faulk, Warner, Vermeil, Bruce, Holt, Greatest Show.
None of it happens without Shaw.
Does he need to disengage? Yeah, he does. They need an on-the-ground president to run the franchise, full-time. Shaw knows that, too.
But he ain't gonna bail out on the newbie owner 6 weeks after GA's death, when the newbie owner has so much to learn about the NFL, and the setup at Rams Park, and the ins and outs of the organization.
Please try to have some common sense.

Bruce:
He's not a lock.
He's not a no-brainer.
He's not a certainty.
There are a lot of WRs stacked up on the Hall of Fame runway.
Gonna take years -- many years -- to sort them all out.
I realize that Rams fans take a parochial view of this, and I do not blame them or criticize them.
All I'm saying is: it ain't that simplistic.

Thanks for the lectures and speeches.
Apparently I've been miusunderstood.
I have lots of emption regarding the release of Ikeman.
I've never respected a STL athlete more than this one.
But the emotions don't change the reality: pro sports is a business.
So when assessing the merits of a move -- pro and con -- the emotions have to be put to the side.
Just the way it is.
Or else, all teams would be loaded with aging, popular players who are well on the downside of their careers. No one would ever be cut, no one would ever have to retire.

why does he have to be so vague? is that because if he tells us exactlty what he means then we can definitely say that he is wrong?
