Rams | Want Faulk more involved in 2006
Fri, 24 Feb 2006 18:50:39 -0800

St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan would like to give RB Marshall Faulk more action during the 2006 season, although RB Steven Jackson will remain the team's feature back. However, Faulk has not given the team any definitive word about returning. The Rams do believe he will return for another season.

Rams | Team will look at free agent defensive players
Fri, 24 Feb 2006 17:33:22 -0800

St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan said the team will look at free agent defensive players, specifically defensive tackle.
Linehan believes the free agency pool is deeper there this offseason and has talked with defensive coordinator Jim Haslett about it. He added he was really high on the guys he had. Linehan feels DL Leonard Little and LB Pisa Tinoisamoa are two guys on defense he can build around. He also wants to add a core leader-type player.

Rams | Linehan would like to utilize tight end position more
Fri, 24 Feb 2006 17:17:22 -0800

St. Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan said he would like to utilize the tight end position more and is pleased with what he has seen from TE Brandon Manumaleuna. Linehan said, "There's not a lot of big blocking prototype type guys in the NFL, that are able to play at the end of the line and block defensive ends in the running game. And be able to match up in pass protection. I think if you make that two-headed monster a little bit more balanced as far as a blocker and a guy that catches a number of balls and is effective in the passing game, then I'll feel much better about it." He also feels a pass-catching tight end would help improve the team's red zone production and on third-downs.

Linehan said he intended to have the team interview every player at the combine. I suspect that was all it was.

Re: Lots of good KFFL stuff

Well if it was just intended to that cool. But I'm thinking Linehan would probrably like to have a mobile QB like him even though there are plenty of them out there in this draft. Nick do you think if Vince Young was at #11 that we would draft him?

Re: Lots of good KFFL stuff

I think we would try to trade down to a team that wants/needs him.

RamJackson39 - will become famous soon enough
Re: Lots of good KFFL stuff

Skylar Green would be a pretty nice pickup if we could get him. He shredded a lot of good secondaries while at LSU.
