    Lovie gives a "Little" the love

    From Bernie at the Super Bowl;

    Large-mouth Giants defensive end Mike Strahan, moonlighting for FSN, asked Bears coach Lovie Smith to name the best defensive end in the NFL who is not playing in this Super Bowl. Lovie probably didn't give the shameless, self-promoting Strahan the answer he wanted when he replied, "I coached a guy in St. Louis named Leonard Little, so I'd have to say him."That drew a laugh from the media mob, and Smith said something nice about Strahan.

    Very nice of him...but a man like that is truthful to his word, and in this case, he's also telling the truth...

    Little is tremendously underrated. He played extremely well this year without any help from the rest of the d-line. In his Rams career, besides Wistrom and Kevin Carter, he has been surrounded by a very weak defensive line. Yet he has still produced year in and year out. Alot this is his own fault as his off the field problems have overshadowed his play.

    his off the field problems should really be a thing of the past right now.

    But still, he was top three in the NFC for defensive ends in sacks and forced fumbles, he should be in Hawaii later this month

    LITTLE IS THE BEST DEFENSIVE END IN THE LEAGUE. He gets mostly double teamed, missed a couple of games this past season, and still had 12.5 sacks. If we had a really good right defensive end, Leornard would probably average, 17-18 sacks a season.

    It's a real injustice / disgrace that LL was not elected as a Pro Bowl starter this yr.
