Magic Health Pills (2007)
Here's the premise:
You are given 3 magic health pills that will guarantee that the players who they are given to will remain free from injury for the entire 2007 season (including playoffs).
You MUST give out all three.
You CANNOT break or divide the pills.
Who do you give them to?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
Mine go to:
Marc Bulger
Steven Jackson
Leonard Little
To me, these are the three players who the Rams can least afford to lose.

I think we are very thin at DE and Hall needs to stay injury free. LB we have four guys IMO that could be starters with Draft in the mix.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
First pill has to go to little. If leonard gets hurt, we have nothing that remotely resembles a backup at that spot. Jackson is a great second choice. Again, he is such a dominant weapon and incrementally so much better than whatever is behind him. I think av is correct that bulger is #3 just because he is so good. My only hesitation on that is that ferrote is a very competent backup. Who is better, ferrotte or steussie? I think a case can be made for a healthy orlando pace, but i do agree that Av is correct and the three choices are leonard, jackson and bulger.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
Bulger
Jackson
Witherspoon
The Rams MLB corp is extremely thin and if Spoon goes down, we have nobody to fill in. Plus he's probably our best defensive player right NOW. Little is a good choice though - can't be upset by that choice.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
Little- we need his pass rushing pressure or we'll give up 30-40 points a game.
Hill- there's no one who can replace him if he gets hurt.
Holt- we need his deep threats and open up the short passing game.
I think Frerotte will be a good qb if Bulger goes down. I also think Leonard can put up good numbers if Jackson goes down. Also Draft can replace Pisa or Witherspoon should they go down and still be a solid LB.:clanram: DIE HARD RAMS' FAN!

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
I thought the same exact three before I read your post, but it would be tempting to take away leonards and give it to james hall because leonard wasn't seriously hurt last season, so it would be hard to choose, because the last time James hall was injury free he put up double digit sack numbers

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
1.) Adam Carriker
2.) James Hall
3.) L Little
Basically i'm giving my pills to who I consider the three most important pieces of our D-line. I feel the the linebackers and secondary have enough depth to survive an injury or two. The offense should be fine the way we are stacked with talent.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
Well obviously the 1st 2 go to Bulger and Jackson because without either of them the Rams are no better than a 5 win team. The other I would have to say is Pace. Bulger I think would lose his security blanket he has with Pace and would be a totally different player IMO.
This team clearly is carried by it's offense. It's important that the most important players on the team are healthy with are Bulger, Pace, and Jackson.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2007)
bulger looked like a pretty spectacular player in the last three games of last year without pace. steussie played very very well as a backup. I love pace and i put him on my list as well, but i dont think you can put him ahead of leonard little. We have so little pass rush as it is, leonard is by far the best player we have on defense and without him, we really have almost no pass rush at all. Hall may well be effective opposite little, but if little isnt in the game and the other team can use a back to help from time to time on hall, we will get no pressure at all.
