Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
I do this every year...
Imagine you have 3 "magic health pills" that you must give to three Rams players. The pills ensure that the three players will be 100% healthy throughout the 2008 season.
Who do you give them to?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
My 3:
Marc Bulger - the leader
Steven Jackson - the workhorse of the offense
Orlando Pace - the cornerstone of the O line
So I'm leaving the defense vulnerable... but I don't think there is one player on defense who alone holds the team's fortunes. I suppose if I was going to give it to one player on the defense, it would likely be Adam Carriker, as I think he can be the anchor of the D line if healthy.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
1. Will Witherspoon.....without him the defense crumbles.
2. Orlando Pace....without him the O line crumbles.
3. Marc Bulger....without him the season crumbles.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
Pace, Spoon and Little.
Reason I didn't pick Bulger is two fold. One, if Pace is healthy, I think Bulger'll be able to be. Second, despite the concussion fears, Green was a top 10 QB only two seasons ago. I think he can handle the offense that made him so if need be.
As for Little and not Carriker, Carriker's young and was only hurt in the last game last year in a freak kind of event. He'll heal up and chances are against that kind of injury happening to him again are small. Little has the wear on his body and our secondary will greatly benefit greatly from having both Little and Long out there, so he's just as critical to the pass game as Spoon is to the overall defense.

Orlando Pace, Jacob Bell, and Richie Incognito, for obvious reasons.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
Forgive me AV for deviating a bit from the main tenor here but... I'd give these magic pills to ANY three players in the team so they could get a magic pill for e-v-e-r-y ... s-i-n-g-l-e player on the 2008 Rams roster!

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
Pace - He's the leader of our line.
Witherspoon - as mentioned, without him, we lose.
Bulger - Without Bulger, we throw like a bunch of high schoolers.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
SJAX- Man's a beast...we need him out there.
Little- Him and Long on the ends with Carriker and Ryan on the inside will be a line to be reckoned with, we need him to stay out there.
Pace- When he goes down, our line goes down, Bulger gets pommeled, and SJAX isn't as effective. Yea he is kinda important...

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
Pace - we saw what happens to the o-line/offense when he gets hurt
Little - if he is healthy then teams will have to double him, which means easier match-ups for Long.
Tinoisamoa - we dont have much depth at linebacker, he is more injury prone than Witherspoon, and if he can't stay healthy then why did we give him 23mil.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
As much as anything else, this is a question regarding dropoff of production between the starter and backup at the critical positions.
Bottom line, the answer has to be Pace, Bulger and Jackson. Jackson is our #1 weapon. The dropoff between him and pittman or leonard is enormous. Pace is not replaceable. A healthy pace makes a ton of difference in this line, especially since the dropoff after barron is very substantial. As for bulger, trent green is as fragile as it gets and bulger is an all pro when healthy.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
1. Pace- if he's healthy so is Bulger and even I could run behind him at RB.
2. Holt- as thin as our WR's are, we need Holt to be there all year.
3. Tino- with a healthy Tino, Spoon will be even more effective and our defense in general, will be dominant.

Re: Magic Health Pills (2008 Version)
Pace-With him, Bulger's blind side is pretty much safe.
Jax- I want to see how he does in a complete season under this new offense. Chances are, besides rams fan, at end of year people will jump on the jax bandwagon.
Witherspoon-The true leader of our current defense. will hand the throne down to Long one day.
