Now you are just being ridiculous... Come on. Let's face it, Marc Bulger isn't an elite QB like Peyton, Brady or Big Ben. He's a solid QB who can play well with a good line.

has anyone seen my panic button? has anyone seen my panic button? has anyone seen my panic button?

It's hard but I have learned not to take these games too serious.... Just here to look at depth and hope the big boys do not get hurt that is all.

That's why he was sacked 49 times in his pro bowl 2006 year right? Because he was behind a good line

LOL @ plain and simple. No one knows what Brady or Ben would have done, but that doesn't stop you from assuming they would have done better, since your M.O. is to blindly hate on anything Marc does. New season, same shtick.

Marc doesnt see the blitz or read the defenses fast enough. Thus they blitz.. he's clueless where there coming from.. and he gets sacked.

And yeah, our pass protection was not great either. But at some point Marc has to get the ball out quicker to the open man. I've been waiting for him to do that for about what 4 years now?

In other news, NFL Network LOVES MARK SANCHEZ. OMG.

He certainly could have gotten rid of the ball on the first sack, as I believe we had a receiver running a quick out to the left side of the field that was in single coverage. But I don't think he had much of a chance to do so on the two after that.

Sadly, I don't think Bulger will have much of a chance to rebuild his confidence in the pocket if this team doesn't do a better job protecting him.

    Re: Mark, Mark, Mark..

I just cant believe that bulger gets sacked three times in the first quarter of a preseason game, throws an absolutely perfect 50 yard pass when he has some time, shows a little mobility getting a pass out to mcmichael, and guys are jumping on his case. Steven Jackson, who i love, and Darby, who i have no real opinion on, were both absolutely AWFUL at picking up the blitz and somehow its on bulger.

NEWS FLASH> Bulger, with his terrific career numbers, has NEVER had any mobility, and neither did dan marino for that matter. So what? Some guys have lots of mobility and no accuracy.

The rams problem is and has been the play of the offensive line. Its not bulger.

    ramming speed to all

Just a preseason game guys. The FIRST preseason game. They're nothing more than glorified scrimmages.

Just relax and hope that nobody gets hurt

So, the guy completes four of four passes. Hits a nice pass that goes 50 yards and people get on him...

    Re: Mark, Mark, Mark..

There's no point to debating Bulger sux or rools.Neither side is likely to convert anyone.

As to this game, though, I thought the connection between MB and Randy was promising . As was Robinson's performance.I'd hoped to see more from Burton,et al.

The blitz pick-ups WERE atrocious. For me,when a QB takes a 5 or 7 step drop and doesn't have time to take even a single step forward, he is usually screwed, no matter who it is. In a preseason game, a play that badly broken is not the time for heroics, imo. The smart thing to do is take the sack without exposing yourself to injury or throwing a pick.I think Marc played it right.

Like him or not, would you rather see our starting QB try to sidestep( or stiffarm or whatever Kung Fu Panda acrobatics you think other QBs like Big Ben would easily do-total BS,imo; Ben gets sacked A LOT but anyhoo...) and have a knee or shoulder blown out in a meaningless game when he's more than likely dragged down anyway? I don't get it.
