Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
We stink, but faulk was terrific again today. i would love to know what he was doing on the bench with arlen harris in the game for the last drive. our play calling is an abomination. our running game was as effective as its been all year and all of a sudden fairchild is throwing repeatedly on first down.
tough tough year. EIGHT false starts. we blitz over and over and despite the fact that the eagles have ONE starting lineman we only got there a few times.

Re: Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
I read elsewhere that Vitt said post-game that Faulk was on the sidelines for that last drive because he was tired...?

Re: Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
This was a strange game to say the least. I too am very confused as to what happened with Faulk at the end of the game. He looked great on the field and irate on the sideline. I don't think I've ever seen him so overtly upset during a game. He was doing a lot of jawin'. Can't wait to hear what it was all about.

Man, this just doesn't make any sense. There has got to be something more to the story.

If he was as upset as you make him out to be after being stuffed on fourth down, maybe Vitt thought he was being unprofessional and was punishing him? I dunno. It's pretty crazy to not have Marshall on the field in that situation as opposed to Arlen Harris.

Re: Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
This thought did cross my mind watching Faulk on the sideline. If true, there could be some fireworks this week.

Faulk needs to call his teamates out! If the coach wont do it then maybe the leader should!

Re: Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
faulk had his helmet on. he was ready to go in. If Joe Vitt or anyone else on the rams is questioning the professionalism of marshall faulk and benching him with the game on the line, than the degree of loss of control is beyond anything in the history of the organization. You deal with that stuff after the game, NOT with the game on the line. Arlen Harris playing for faulk? What a joke.

ps a lot better than dickerson. much, much better receiver, many less fumbles with the game on the line, far superior blocker. not a better runner, per se, but a much better all around player.

Re: Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
I disagree. The last thing this team needs is another off-the-field soap opera. We've already had coaches and FO people going after each other. We don't need players doing the same.

Re: Marshall faulk, greatest ram ever
Everything will change next year so I don't see much point in starting some new drama this late in the season.
