Martz is available.......
For anyone whose been lamenting his loss, and for that matter, this pathetic offense, here is an oportunity to address the situation. :-)
Seriously, i don't think he can coexist with the front office or Linehan, but my memory harkens back to the day when Vermiel, or was forced to, brought this man on to "develop and run the offense". Who better to run the greatest show on turf than the man who created it. He and Faulk got us two Super Bowl appearances, though one was a Super Blow. Linehan can not do this.
I don't even need the offense to be GSOT, Plus Average Show on Turf (PAST) would be an improvement.
Comon, lets here it!
(For the record, I believe the offensive struggles are a combination of coaching and, in large part, a product of all the OL injuries.)

Re: Martz is available.......
If I were Martz, I would never return to the Rams. I mean, the Rams fired one of their most successful HC's ever because Shaw/Zygmut couldn't get along with him. No matter that 4 out of his 5 full years as HC he took this team to the playoffs. That wasn't good enough.
No, we are stuck with Linehan and whoever this "movie star" chooses.

Re: Martz is available.......
He was a bad head coach but a GREAT Offensive Coordinator. No way he returns to St. Louis though.

Re: Martz is available.......
There are number of places he could end up but St Looooo won't be one of them.

Re: Martz is available.......
It's too bad he wont return to STL. Though the office didnt get along with him, he brought them fans, fame and a strong team.
If the front office likes this joke named Linehan, I think the front office has lost their minds.

Re: Martz is available.......
I found this article on the Fanball site. Thought it might interest some of the Martz fans.
Our View: It also appears Alex Smith will be back, so that should be a fun situation to watch. Although Nolan will return, it looks like offensive coordinator Jeff Hostler will be canned. Mike Martz is the favorite to replace him.

Re: Martz is available.......
I'd love to see it, but I can hardly imagine a scenario where the front office would/could actually make it happen...at least as long as Shaw and Zygmunt are in charge.

Re: Martz is available.......
There's one thingi don't understand. Some people want martz back, but some of those people complain that linehan doesn't run the ball enough, so if you get martz, why would that make you happy if he hardly runs the ball?

Re: Martz is available.......
Mike Martz is most definitely an enigma. He always seems to have just as many players, coaches or FO types that hate him, as love him. No team was beating down his door offering a head coaching position when he left the Rams, and after the dissention he's caused in Detroit, his chances for even another OC opportunity have got to be dwindling. He, like his coaching style is potential big risk, potential big reward. It will be interesting to see what happens to him in the next few months.
