    Re: Martz on Fox Sports

I thought we'd have learned our lesson by now that it's a bad idea to post any form of media in which Martz compliments Bulger.

That said, the video has me optimistic. Martz acknowledging that Bulger had some mistakes the first couple days shows that he's not completely glossing over Bulger's performance and skills.

And yes, Curtis looked pretty good on that vid. I'm excited to see what he can do now that he's healthy. It'll be interesting to see if he successfully beats out Looker for the #3 spot.

For the few of us who are having trouble getting the video to play, can someone verbalize some of the highlights of the video for us. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Martz on Fox Sports

I had to laugh at that too, Dez.

-Howard asks how Marc will respond now that the Warner situation is over, and how much confidence he'll develop knowing he's the number one guy and that it's his team. Martz says he thinks and hopes it's going to be, but he didn't really recognize it until they went into minicamp. The first 2-3 practices Marc "looked like Marc does... he was good, made a couple mistakes, but he was good." Then, the next week and a half, he broke out and it was clear that he had expanded his knowledge of what the Rams were doing offensively, especially with where he's going with the ball and the realization with some of their blitz periods as well as what he needs to do from the protection aspect. He's way ahead of where he's ever been mentally, which will pay off obviously. He's felt a lot more comfortable in his role and they've put him in a situation where he gets all the snaps in the offseason, which he's never had before in the offseason, so Martz thinks it can only help.

-Howard asks about Chris Chandler and how he's performed thus far and accepted the role. Martz didn't know where Chris was before bringing him in, like his arm strength or movement, but says Chris is in terrific physical condition and his arm strength is as good if not better than it was years ago. He's in terrific shape and mentally picked up on what they do very quickly. Says he has confidence and some QBs will experience some friction because they're still wanting the starting role, but Chris has had a great career and has played in a Super Bowl, and has accepted his role on the team where he's trying to learn what to do in the event that the Rams need him.

Hopefully this is more than typical player hype by Mike Martz.

I am not sure of the context here, but I hope they looked at him before they signed him.

I'm sure they did, but the way Martz said it makes you wonder.
