Re: Martz should he stay or should he go?

I could see letting him go if he wasn't successful but c'mon, 4 playoff appearances in 5 years? That's going to be tough to beat.

He led the Rams to playoffs in just about every season he coached and the Superbowl as OC. Get serious, the Rams would not have won the Superbowl w/o him. The Rams would have probably gone 7-9 in 99 w/o Martz.

Do you really think Vermeil would have come up with those ingenious plays; shifting of the lines, motions all over the place before the snap confusing the defense. Setting a receiver in motion to tip the defense hand. Empty backfield, full backfield. Receiver backfield. So many plays in that playbook Get serious. I highly doubt Vermeil has that ingenuity.

Granted Martz need to pull a Vermeil (in his last season) and cry and give up some control. But to shove him to the door for what he has done and will do for the Rams.

For the true Rams fans:

Remember the sayings: The Laaaambbbss!!!
The St. Louis Laaammmbbbs!!
Silence of the Laaammbbbss!!

Get rid of Martz, and you will hear those sayings again.
i agree all you people who say martz should leave are like little babies whining about martz should go i wonder if the same people were saying martz should go DURING the 2001 - 2002 season I bet not

So you can see the future?

Thanks for the history lesson....fortunately, we don't all live in the past. Using your logic, success should guarantee a lifetime job, right?
Go ahead and bask in glorys of the past while the rest of the league moves on.

Oh, yes...name-calling and conviction are enough to prove your point.
Of course he should stay, 'cuz we were soooooo great 3 years ago. Makes perfect sense.

Yes, his record is impressive. He has done Great Things. However, his relationship with management is, I believe, beyond repair and such that his effectiveness as our head coach would be severely limited.
Our FO has gutted his ability to lead.

Oh, and by the way...."whiny babies" resort to name-calling instead of logical argument to reinforce their opinion. Well done.

No one can ride the fence on this poll its either Stay or Go.

To avoid too much controversy lets try to limit responses to stay or go.
I tried, really I did.

Re: Martz should he stay or should he go?

I'd like him to stay but I had to vote for him to go. It just came to the point between Martz and Jay Z. where one or the other had to go, and I guess J.Z. tickles Georgia the right way. With a new atmosphere Martz will have better health [less stress], a new start, and less fans and media on his back. Sort of like the Warner situation. Like John Clayton wrote, this is a sort of mutual divorce. It's better for both sides.

If he stays there will be trouble.
If he goes it could be double.

Re: Martz should he stay or should he go?

I'd prefer he stay, because I'm not convinced there's a coach out there better than Martz who would actually want to walk into this front office situation.
