They held up very well today against the pass rush, and also opened some nice holes in the running game. The unit was a concern coming in, but I thought they met the challenge!

The o line did great, not awesome, but great. Especially after losing Saffold and Hunter we still managed to keep up with a 3rd string LT. Now thats some coaching for the line.

They did enough for us to get the win and that's all that matters. For what it's worth, did anyone get the name of the guy they pulled out of the stands to play tackle when the backup went down?

Lol the 3rd string I have no idea who he was. All I know he was claimed off waivers per the announcers.

Ty Nsheke i think he is called

Oddly, when the inactives were announced I found it interesting that he wasn't on the list. Now we know why!

All things considered, I thought the OL play was outstanding. They gave Sam the time he needed to perform his magic and gave the running game plenty of opportunities. Sam owes them all a big dinner.

I feel much, much better about the line going forward.

I have to give the line and Boudreau a lot of credit. They faced a massive test, and held up. Bradford was kept clean most of the day, despite massive injuries along the line. Great to see the Rams able to rebound from injuries and play a smart system which minimizes the need for an amazing line. That was something Josh McD didn't get, he thought the line could just hold defenders for 5 or 6 seconds, which they generally can't.

They played great today they gave Sam the time he needed, and lets not under estimate the subtle slides Sam was making in the pocket to keep himself up.But the o line took everything the redskins had and we made them pay for blitzing by tearing up there soft zone all night long.

They kept Orakpo AND Kerrigan in check. Very tough task and they handled it well.

    A few things:

    1) Ty Nsekhe was only in for 1 play. Wayne Hunter played the entire game.
    2) Orakpo didn't play after the 1st quarter injury.

Our offensive line did a very solid job though.

Agreed, but I'd also like to acknowledge Brian Schottenheimer, who seems to be doing a very good job of designing a game play that plays to the strengths of the guys we have out there.

Excellent point. Shotty has shattered my negative expectations with some spot on play calling.

I didn't and still don't get why everyone was so down on his hiring. The Jets averaged 25.5 ppg last year with a mediocre QB, a below average line, a below average running game and with average receivers.
