Mike Furrey on Martz
Rams free safety Mike Furrey said Martz`s absence has left a void at Rams Park.
"It affects you a lot," Furrey said. "His persona of being around the locker room and practices is huge. He`s a guy that I have respected since I first got here. He`s helped me out throughout my career in the NFL. There`s a little extra push to play well for him for what he`s going through."

Re: Mike Furrey on Martz
Furrey sure has done his part over the past two weeks. It is about time that the Rams had a DB playmaker again.

Re: Mike Furrey on Martz
Too Bad the more games we win without Martz the less likely he will be back.

Re: Mike Furrey on Martz
Furry has been coming along nicely for playing only a handfull of games so far as a FS. Hopefully only to gets better, and continues to be a big playmaker for the secondary.

Re: Mike Furrey on Martz
:football: Rams players are professional and committed to do their jobs well, to WIN under current circumstances -- a fine interim coach in Vitt, etc. There's a little extra push to play well for him for what he's going through." --M. Furrey
But the personal factor, the bond and respect they have for MM is clearly present.
