Most Legendary Feat A Rams Player Has Ever Accomplished
What Ram feat is truly the stuff of legend?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Most Legendary Feat A Rams Player Has Ever Accomplished
Staying with my recent Youngblood theme, I went with Jack's feat. While records can be broken, unless someone plays with both legs broken, Jack's feat can never be topped. To this day, 26 years later, when people think of JY, they think of that feat.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

I voted for Youngblood. It takes a real man and a warrior to do that.

Gotta go with GC on this one. Faulk is the greatest player to ever wear the Horns.
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

Youngblood. Probably one of my favorite Rams ever, if not my absolute favorite. The toughness of playing with the broken leg in those two games just amazes me.

I went with Flipper, because I remember it. I never saw Jack play, but playing with a broken leg transcends legendary and verges on the divine.

Re: Most Legendary Feat A Rams Player Has Ever Accomplished
What Ram feat is truly the stuff of legend ?:
I Remember back in the late 1950's their was a player who had played with a dislocated shoulder and two cracked ribs and never missed a play does anyone know ??? toughness was the name of the game in those days , Those type of things happened more often than people realize In the NFL ... The player was Norm ... I must say that the different some for the good and for bad ... No matter what the game and our Rams will live on forever in our memories ... For the past and current Legends we Rams Fans have a lot to be great full for ...
Here is a Quote from a Rams Legend:
from Tank Younger:
"The game was more fun back then," says Younger. "There's no question the guys enjoyed playing a helluva lot more. We weren't making great big money back then [top players such as Hirsch earned about $12,000 a year] so there were no outside distractions like looking at the Wall Street Journal.
" Football is more sophisticated now," adds Younger. "The fans, coaches, and players are all a little bit more knowledgeable. The game is more enjoyable to watch today. "But I wouldn't trade my memories of those days for all the money these players make today."

Re: Most Legendary Feat A Rams Player Has Ever Accomplished
I had to go with Jack. Never had the privilege of seeing him play, but playing in the two biggest games of the season with a broken leg is the kind of toughness I don't think we'll ever see again. My brother-in-law, who is a huge Giants fan, saw a Jack Youngblood special on ESPN Classic [anyone else see this? he didn't record it.] and even he was amazed at the kind of intimidating, tough guy JY was. Faulk's record-setting years come in a close second.

I met both youngbloods and I do have to agree that Jacks feat was a stand out performance ... he was and is a mans man ... the intensity and heart in which he played was was outstanding
