I keep coming back to this in my mind. I think we should really appreciate DeSpags drafting Robert Quinn last year.

I think that was huge, we might not have to worry about starting DEs for the next 7-8 years. Robert Quinn looked great last year and will have a huge improvement under Fisher this year. So, the more I think of it I am so glad Quinn was drafted last year. I was impartial when drafted last year, but am completely happy now. Ofcourse, DeSpags had other great moves that have set us up for the long run (the only better move probably being drafting Bradford).

Anyway, just my 2 cents and I am ready for the Quinn-Long Era (Freeney-Mathis Rams version)

I loved the Quinn pick. I think the guys gonna be a MONSTER in the near future. But hey, I thought we wouldn't have to think about drafting OT's for the next 10 years having our bookends and look at 1 year later, both have been labelled by many as liabilities..

I dont think that'll happen with Quinn and Long, because I think we will have the most dominant DE duo in the NFL, but anythings possible.

So we give despags credit for a the couple of things they did right, but their is a multitude of things they did wrong and failed miserably. If we had just picked up one solid receiver last season before the season and drafted some youth at linebacker and bring in washed up vets it wouldn't been different.

Easy drafting a qb number one when you need a franchise qb.

I agree Laurinaitis was probably the best pick. But im not going to lie, I wanted Maualuga at the time. Good thing i had no say in the matter haha
