Multiple potential staff interview updates from Jim Thomas

    Per Jim Thomas

Rams interviewing Detroit secondary coach Tim Walton on Saturday for what could be assistant defensive coordinator/passing game job.
Earliier in week, Rams interviewed Paul Boudreau, in Atlanta from 2008 to 2011, for offensive line coach job; Boudreau was w/Rams in 2006-07
Rams also have interviewed Rob Boras, with Jacksonville in 2010-11, for tight ends job.
Good to see Fisher working fast and furious to round out his position coaches...

All look like they'd be valued members of the staff. Atlanta has had a great OLine since Boudreau has been there. Be good to have him back.

if i recall correctly we were starved of even potential on our O-line roster last time Boudreas was with us. it`ll be interesting to see what he can do with better raw ingredients.

I don't remember many fans being happy with the job Boudreau did while he was with the Rams in '06-'07, but perhaps it was a talent issue. Combining Schottenheimer with Boudreau would be rather underwhelming for me, but I'm certainly willing to give anyone the Rams bring in the benefit of the doubt and see what they can do.

Looking back at our Super Bowl Championship Team, one has to marvel at the people Dick Vermeil surrounded himself with. He had an excellent cast of coaches from which to draw support and experience: Mike White- former Raiders head coach, Frank Gansz- hard-nosed special teams coach and former Chiefs Head Man, John Bunting- co defensive coordinator who played in the NFL and was the Head Coach at UNC, Peter Giunta, whose defense I believe was #1 against the run that season, offensive guru Mike Martz, and I believe Jim Hanifan- former Cardinals Head Coach was also on this staff. I'm sure I'm missing a few, but in any case, a pretty good group of people.

I bring this up because I hope Fisher is surrounding himself with similarly talented and productive individuals; he cannot do it alone. I like the Williams hire, not so sure about the Schottenheimer one. As far as position coaches go, do any of us REALLY know much about our prospects? Not too many fans have an intimate knowledge of who the best fits may be. I have to hope Fisher is building something special here.

Right on point NJ. When you compare the knowledgeable people surrounding Vermiel, that's a huge task to undertake. I trust Jeff Fisher will make the right decisions, but I recall many of us thought when Spags came here we thought we had the football equivalent of world peace. So only time will tell. Like all of us I want us to get back into the conversation and then become a dominant team once again. I believe if we evaluate talent properly and draft accordingly we'll do it.

    Go Rams!

I wonder is he is going to keep any exiting Rams coaches?

Does not appear that way, and I am happy to be honest. It is time for a clean slate.
