Smile A must read Redskins perspective on Al Saunders potentially coming to the Rams

There is 5 pages of responses about if Saunders comes to the Rams and here is the general consensus.
    1. Not one post had anything bad to say about Saunders.
    2. They where all disapointed to see him leave.
    3. They all thought that the Rams where a great fit for Saunders.
    4. Some talked about the GSOT returning with Saunders. (myself I doubt that)
    5. They talked about the dramatic difference he will make in our offense.
    6. They also talked about the Rams coming into their place and kicking their butt with Saunders as OC.

Very interesting to get their perspective. Heres the link:

Sometimes the fans are the best place to get our insights from. Good find there.

Now let's hope the Rams persue him hard. We won't be getting the Greatest Show, but a Somewhat Better Show would be OK by me at this point. The lame duck status of this team isn't appealing, but some of our offensive pieces are.

    Thats a great find man.

We need to work hard and work fast to make Saunders ours. We already screwed up with Cameron.

Any show other than the Linehan snooze-fest will be better at this point.

If we dont get dramatically improved offensive line play, the identity of our offensive coordinator will mean NOTHING.

Even though we may have a new OC, the HC still dictates the style of play. If we don't open up the passing game, we won't be successful.

And if we open up the passing game without a dramatically improved offensive line, bulger wont just be injured, he will be as dead as julius ceasar.

Then he will be dead because I don't see this offensive line improving even when healthy.

Nice find, RamsSB99. Interesting to note that they all assume Saunders will bring Todd Collins here with him. He certainly played better than Gus as a backup last season.

Re: A must read Redskins perspective on Al Saunders potentially coming to the Rams

I checked out the link and the skins fans do seem to believe in Saunders. I am a little bit skeptical because their offense under Saunders did not seem to be that high powered and they did not score many points. Often it was the good defensive play that allowed them to win games or even keep them close. I was told today that this is because he never had a good QB to work with....which may be true.

    2006 redskins 5-11 307 points scored 376 points allowed
    2006 rams 8-8 367 points scored 381 points allowed

    2007 redskins 9-7 334 points scored 310 points allowed
    2007 rams 3-13 263 points scored 438 points allowed

The lions had the worst defense, allowing 444 points in 2007. The dolphins, bills, chiefs, and niners all competed with the rams for the lowest scoring offense.

    fins 267 points scored
    bills 252
    chiefs 226
    niners 219

Wow...look at the numbers. Rams looked pretty good in 2006, but they were just plain horrible in 2007. Both the offense and defense fell apart in 2007.

you have to remember that the Skins were a team with injuries close to those of the Rams. Not as bad, but getting there.
