My biggest fear going forward.
Is we hire a Defensive HC, he cleans house. He brings new terminology, new plays and the Offensives starts to struggle as they learn a new system that might or might not work.
I would like to see us keep Fairchild as OC, down size Martz’s playbook, bring in a new O line coach, running back coach, keep Henry as WR coach. Bring in Denver’s system for running the ball, one cut get it going down field mentality. Blocking that opens holes, MM was a great at creating pass plays, but never showed he could create running plays that worked. Get SJ under that Denver system that just turns out one great running backs one after another.
Let the new HC rebuild the Defensive and the ST and create a balance attack. Protect the ball and all that good stuff.
Do we really need to toss out Martz whole offense?

Re: My biggest fear going forward.
The defense would have come around.
Guess fans will be getting what they asked for. Hope they are happy. I won't be surprised when they start complaining about coaching in the future.
If Fairchild is any indication, not too many can run this offense like Martz. He was always a great playcaller, whether he was in the booth or on the sidelines.
In my opinion, Shaw is an incompetent leader of this organization!!!

yep this is true, but do we have to trash the offensive playbook? Can we see some coaches that worked with Martz in years to come in the NFL, much like Walsh and his coaches that used his system? In my opinion, Shaw is an incompetent leader of this organization!!!

Re: My biggest fear going forward.
That is why Saunders is one to consider instead of a defensive minded coach. Was there some bad blood when he left here?? I can't remember. However, he will either take the Minni job or will get the KC job if they can't get Edwards from the Jets.yep this is true, but do we have to trash the offensive playbook? Re: My biggest fear going forward.
If Saunders doesn't get a lot of interest at the head coaching position, perhaps without a team anymore, he would like to just laterrally come over and run our offense as the OC?
Under a Defensive guy like Rivera?

Re: My biggest fear going forward.
Put John Shaw to return punts and kickoffs this year.
Rambos, point well made / taken.
