    My First Draft Thread....

    Hey Fans,
I have made a couple comments on threads, but never my own draft thread so here we go. With the number 2 pick, I think the Rams should draft...Aaron Curry. Thats right guys, I have crossed over. This is why Alex Barron is a serviceable LT, seeing he played all of the 2007 as a LT only allowing 2 sacks. He is a proven tackle unlike someone you would get in the draft. No on really knows if Smith or Monroe can be a anchor LT like Pace was. He is cheap, and playing in a contract year. Which means hes average at RT, and if he cant play LT then he is not gonna get a really big payday aka hes playing for the check.
Aaron Curry is IMHO the best player in the draft. He has all the physical, and mental tools to be a defensive leader. He will solidify our linebackers core by at youth, aggression, desire, and the intangible things that stats don't show. Also I am a huge fan of Heart football is built around it. Over the past couple seasons (since Lovie Smith left) on defense we have sucked. Washed up LBs, or quick fixes have been our motto. Lets replace London Fletcher. Lets get us a franchise defensive leader to build around for the next decade. So we draft Curry, and take Britton in the 2nd. He can challenge Barron for the job at LT or be a solid RT. Then get the BPA in the upcoming rounds. Thanks for reading a comments.

If Britton doesn't make it to the second, we could always take Beatty. I would be fine with him.

Howcome no one likes Loadhodt? He's a monster. About the same size as Jonathan Ogdan. I know he's pass blocked the last few years. Look what their little squirrel Bradford has done.

I'm all for Loadholt, as he's a monster right tackle, which is just what we need for a power run game! Plus he's much more likely to be there than Beatty or Britton.

given the 4 pillars methodology and the character first philosophy. i think Loadholt is in the Rams' "do not draft" pile.

I think you make good sense. If they believe in Barron at all, and im not sure i do, but these guys seem good, so i would trust them, then dont take Monroe or Smith. I dont know if they are worth the hype anyway. They can get a good RT in round 2. Or if they really want to play bell at RT, then grab a stud G or Mack from Cal, or Unger. It would be great if they could trade back out of that number 2 spot and take Malaluaga or another one of those Mlbs that they like
