I would have much preffered a line somewhat like, "A boat to get me back to St.Louis"
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

The religious side of him surprises me.

Sweetness still lives in my memory. He was a great player.

Man some of you tear this guy down for everything. How do you know he named himself franchise? I dont remember him saying "I gave myself that nickname". Some of you dont want to give him a chance as a person or a football player its amazing. I met him in person at a local mall at an autograph signing and the way he interacted with my son was awesome. My 5 yr old son is really shy but Steven said come over hear and lets have a one on chat and was great with him. I've met other athletes and some but not all were no where near as cool to my son as Steven was. As a father and a fan I thought it was great. Now to this day whenever my son sees him running on tv he says theres Steven Jackson daddy. Maybe a little slack for this guy at least untill he proves himself this year maybe wouldnt hurt. Remember the player that takes over for a superstar wont always fill his shoes i.e Bulger and Jackson taking over for two players who maybe had the greatest seasons for our beloved Rams. Give him a chance.

He said he admired 'Sweetness', not that he was like him. Relax.

And Rammiser's right. I was at that signing as well, and Jackson was very cool.

Re: In My Own Words: Steven Jackson

Athletes need to straddle the line between being confident and being cocky. Not always an easy task, especially for a 20something with a seven-figure salary.

As long as he works hard and does everything he can to help the team win, I'll suffer the nicknames, boasts and tackless comments.
