My Rams Mock Draft (5/2/06 Version)

I have some real insight for Day 1 of the draft that will be held this weekend. Here's how I see it going:

Round 1: Tye Hill, CB, Clemson
I think the Rams will trade down, probably with a team like... say... Denver... and take Tye Hill. He's really fast, I think.

Round 2: Joe Klopfenstein, TE, Colorado
I have this strange feeling that Brandon Manumaleuna won't be back this year, so I think the Rams will look for TEs (probably 2) in this draft.

Round 3: Claude Wroten, DT, LSU
This guy's a first round talent, and his drug arrests are no concern. Heck, look at Ricky Williams. Pot smoking hasn't hurt his career, has it?

Jon Alston, LB, Stanford
Looking at his cut physique makes me feel funny - kind of like when we climbed the rope in gym class.

Dominique Byrd, TE, USC
Not sure how the Rams will get this third 3rd round choice. I just have a feeling it will happen.
