My Random Observations on the Game

Well I was at the game and it was as ugly in person as I'm sure as it was on TV, so here goes:

You can't be a serious contender if you start the game with a pick 6 from your 20 on your first drive.

The Refs lost control of the game early.

The Refs, I suspect, are Panther fans.

Schottie needs to go. I cannot for the life of me understand his play calling at the end of the half.

I haven't seen such rude football fans since I used to go to Raiders games in LA. I had a pretty looking blond woman behind me in her 30's dropping more F-bombs than a drunken sailor at the Rams and their fans. She must have had at least a six pack in her and was trashy as they come.

I don't know if they showed it or not, but a Panthers fan also launched something at Long while he was being escorted off the field.

Several Panther players were taunting and the refs never called it.

They announced a sell out, but there were a lot of empty seats.

There were also a lot of Rams fans there, I was pretty surprised.

Sam can't always throw well and our receivers can't catch either (I know, way to point out the obvious!).

Clemens is small, I don't know how he sees over the line.

I actually watched Sam try to pump up the O line, I was impressed there too.

The Panthers stadium workers play and interesting trick. They do the T-shirt give away (throwing them into the stands) coincidentally only while the visiting team has a third down situation near the redzone. This gets everyone up yelling, especially the normally distracted kids. It makes it look pretty convincing that all fans are into the game.

It is always hard to win when you turn the ball over, and that grows exponentially with each one.

Not all BBQ's are good, Grits cooked right with honey and butter are delicious, and the Marriott has a nice cigar bar, but no television to watch games.

Next year Philly, PA keep the lights on for me!

It doesn't get any better for you as far as the home fans go with your choice for next year's travel game. But you can be sure of getting hospitality from PARamfan! I'll work on the tickets I have two options.

From tooth-to-tail the Rams at least on paper should be contenders in the NFC West. But since the buck stops at the top, the man at the top, is Jeff Fisher. Spags had J. McD take him down; it looks like Fisher's DC/OC will take him down--honestly I wouldn't care if Fisher has to update his resume. To this point, considering last years team with all its gaps & holes on the roaster is a light year better then this year's team, it would be for the best.

    Thanks for the report, Joe

Yes - they showed the fan throwing the bottle at Long.

Those refs did a poor job of hiding the fact that they are panther fans!

Re: My Random Observations on the Game

I know it had no impact on the INT, but did you know that the panthers were guilty of a hold on Harkey on the first play of the game? If that pick 6 comes back on the holding that was there to be called, that game has a totally different start.

Of course, the way the officials were manipulating the game, they still would have prevented the RAMS from winning.
